Production Standards & Honesty

Quality & Supply Capacity

Clear metrics on our harvest volumes, estate quality control protocols, and transparent accreditation status.

Current Export Supply Capacity

Our estates currently produce approximately 300 kg of Ceylon cinnamon per month, with scalable capacity to accommodate growing long-term wholesale partnerships.

Unlike large broker syndicates that blend batches from dozens of untracked farms, our output is strictly estate-limited. This ensures every kilogram maintains identical density, moisture parameters, and essential oil potency.

For buyers requiring larger volumes, we manage scheduled seasonal harvests and can expand dedicated acreage across our Ambalangoda and Kalutara plots under forward supply agreements.

Our Quality Assurance Practices

1. 100% Manual Hand Sorting

Every quill is inspected by trained estate sorters to verify color uniformity, diameter, and thickness before grading into Alba, C5, M, or H classes.

2. Pre-Shipment Sample Approval

We provide batch samples to buyers prior to commercial dispatch. Physical samples allow full laboratory verification of moisture content and volatile oil levels.

3. Clean Processing Hygiene

Peeling and sun-curing take place in covered, elevated drying stations protected from rain, dust, and insects to preserve pristine aromatic quality.

Transparent Note on Formal Certifications

At Uduwara Spices, we believe in absolute transparency with our B2B trade partners. We state clearly that our company does not currently hold formal international certifications (such as ISO 22000, Organic, or Fairtrade).

Instead of making unverified claims, we build trust through direct estate access, sample-based approval protocols, and rigorous manual sorting on our family fields. We welcome independent buyer testing, third-party lab inspection, and direct estate visits.
